Characteristics
The trunk is upright, with a slight groove. The bark is brown-purple. The underground rhizomes or roots are large, thicky plump in cylindrical shape and split into many branch roots. The outer bark of root is brown with soft texture. It can be propagated by using seeds. It grows well in parts of the world located between the cold and the tropical weather.
